Frances Harry BA (Hons), PGDip, LCGI, MBPsS, MBACP
A desire for self-understanding was what initially led me to train as a counsellor. Once I began training, my interest grew in helping others to understand and have power over their experiences, in order that they might live better and more satisfying lives.
My training was undertaken at London Metropolitan University, the Metanoia Institute and Lewisham Counselling & Counsellor Training Associates. I qualified in 2012 after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling with distinction. I was also granted Outstanding Achievement Awards for Excellence in Course Work and Portfolio Compilation and Exceptional Personal and Professional Development.
I have gained considerable experience over the years working with individuals and couples in general practices, an Alcohol Counselling Service, schools and private practice. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Framework in my practice. I am also an in-training member of the British Psychological Society and hold Graduate Membership.
Through Person-Centred practice, I aim to encourage an environment in which you feel safe to explore what you wish, without judgement. I work with adults, children and couples and strongly believe in the individual’s ability to gain a positive outcome.
You might have thought of speaking to someone about personal problems you have been having. You might even know that you are suffering with a mental health issue like depression, anxiety or trauma from past experiences. You might just need someone to listen.
